This outside sales opportunity offers comprehensive chemical products and solutions to meet the needs of customers across the foodservice distribution industry. You will maintain and grow a minimum 3–8 million dollar book of business while managing comprehensive distributor & customer relationships. Within the assigned distributor responsibilities, you will support, train, execute sales and coordinate customer installations & service. You will be responsible for driving sales by developing strategic plans in partnership with the distributor partner with geography that may span 3-8 states. You will serve as the face of SSDC / Ecolab, providing recommendations on advanced cleaning and sanitation processes, solutions and programs that drive a positive guest experience and create cleaner, safer, and healthier environments for end user customers.

What You Will Do:  

  • Find prospects, initiate the sales cycle, and acquire new corporate account customers  
  • Generate new sales from targeted new product introductions  
  • Maintain and increase sales with current corporate account customers  
  • Represent Ecolab in assigned customer relationships  
  • Maintain an awareness of competitive, customer and industry conditions and report them to management  
  • Able to conduct quarterly business reviews with customers  
  • Able to lead special projects such as tests in customer locations  

  

Position Details:  

  • The RSM will join ECOLAB’s SSDC Sales Team, managing a minimum 3 Food Service Distributor Locations across 8 states, including, FL, AL, MS, TN, NC, SC, VA and GA

  • This position can be based in Florida, Carolina, Alabama or Georgia, but must be within a reasonable distance from a major Airport

  • 35% Travel (5-7 Nights per Month) within the geography of the assigned Region but also may be asked to help in other parts of the US as needed

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree  
  • 2 years of experience in foodservice  
  • 1 year of outside sales experience  
  • Availability for approximately 50% overnight travel  
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record  
  • No Immigration Sponsorship available  

  

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Business to Business sales experience  
  • Ability to lead cross divisional teams  
  • Proven track record of achieving sales commitments  
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully closing major deals with new corporate accounts  
  • Seasoned Negotiator  
  • Strong interpersonal, communications and listening skills  
  • Results oriented and entrepreneurial with solid business instincts

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The total Compensation range for this position is $84,300-$126,400 which includes base pay and target incentive based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
